How It Works

The internet is overloaded with websites claiming to show you the new must - see

way to getting expensive items for free.

As difficult as they are to believe, most of those claims are true. This article will show

you how and why this works.

The first question is usually - How can it be possible to give expensive goods away for

free?

For major companies, advertising using the traditional methods of TV, Radio etc are no

longer producing the required results. So they have come up with something called

referral marketing.

This method means the companies will pay the referral network for any potential

customers they receive - and the referral network uses this money to pay for your gift.

I have illustrated this with an example. Let's say you decide to sign up and choose an

iPod:

Step One: Choose the offer or free trial you're going to complete. If you are in the UK,

the most popular offers are a free, 30 day trial with INTUIT or a 30 day free trial with

HOMESTEAD.

If you are in The USA, Canada, or Europe there are similar offers with various other

well known and respected companies.

Step Two: is to refer friends/relatives to do the same. An iPod shuffle requires just 2

referrals and we all have a couple of friends who would be happy to take up a free no

obligation trial.

Thats it!, just wait a couple of days for the postman with your free iPod!

This all seems very quick and simple but who are the winners? Why does it work?

You - Take out a free trial

Spent - Nothing

Received - A free iPod

The free gift network spent - £60 on your iPod

The free gift network Received - Three commissions totalling £110. Thats a profit for

them of £50

From - The advertiser, who gain three potential customers who have tried their

service/product and may well like to keep it.
